Being from southern California, we have elevated standards for beaches. We’d heard Seminyak was a fun place, so we spent our last two days in Bali here. Unfortunately, we felt the beach here (at least the stretch we explored located near the main part of town) was unimpressive to say the least. It was certainly lively and crowded, but the water was a muddy, dirty, green, and there was quite a bit of trash littered about. I was not even interested in going into the water.
Honestly, the best part about Seminyak was our hotel, which was an island-style suite with glass doors and a private pool.
We walked around the city and ate some good food (after leaving the beach in disappointment). Seminyak is supposed to have a great nightlife, but at this point, we were a bit too worn out (in a good way) to go too hard. The next morning, we enjoyed refreshing lemongrass tea and a traditional Balinese breakfast before making our regrettable departure:
